When I left, there was no work I could find to do with art and was told I would never make any money creating art, so I became a spot welder for a year and then went into electronics at Wilson Process Systems for 11 years.
I then did other things like running my own clothes shop, evening parcel sorting and a warehouse person for a plumping company. I now work for a company assembling components from drawings and workings on lathes and mills.
While doing all of the above, I married in 2001 after dating for 7 years and had 3 children between 2000 and 2008; all girls.
In 2015, I finally picked up a pencil again and started drawing 20+ years after leaving art school and joined 'Creative Art Academy'.
I have created a small booklet of my complete works for my first year trying to paint in oils with pictures of all the paintings that I've done. I enjoyed keeping a photo catalog of my oil painting so much it has turned into a kind of diary and reminds me of all the paintings that i have done from the first to my latest and i'm now working on volume 4 which I can print out, If you would like a copy fill free to send me a message.
